How to play
Look at the pixelated scene and type the anime you think it is from. As you type, matching titles appear, pick one to lock in your guess. Get it wrong and the image becomes a little clearer; after a couple of misses, hints unlock too: the genres first, then the year the anime aired. You have six guesses, and the picture only becomes fully sharp once the round ends.

Like Wordle, everyone sees the same anime each day, so you can compare scores with friends and the wider anime community. Solve it in fewer guesses to climb your streak. When you finish, share your result, the spoiler-free emoji grid shows how many tries it took without giving the answer away.

Where do the anime scenes come from?+
Scenes are drawn from a curated pool of 83 popular anime series. Images are sourced from public movie and anime databases for editorial use and remain the property of their respective rights holders.
Which titles can I type as my guess?+
You can use the English title, the romaji title or common alternative names. The input autocompletes as you type and tolerates small typos, so "attack on titan" and "shingeki no kyojin" both work.
How is this different from Guess the Character?+
Guess the Anime asks you to identify the series from a pixelated scene, while Guess the Character asks you to name a single character from a blurred portrait. Same daily, shareable, Wordle-style format, different puzzle.
